Ashley Biden, the daughter of former President Joe Biden, filed for divorce from her husband, Dr. Howard Krein, after more than 13 years of marriage. The filing was made in Philadelphia’s Court of Common Pleas on August 11, 2025, according to multiple reports.
Biden and Krein married in June 2012 in Greenville, Delaware, after being
introduced by her late brother, Beau Biden. Krein is a physician specializing in facial, plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Following the divorce filing, Biden shared a photograph of herself walking through a park and giving a thumbs-up. She also posted a message about “new life” and “new beginnings,” although she did not publicly explain the reason for the separation.
